Certified Crane Operator

Fort Scott, KS

Contract Crane Operator

A specialty industrial contractor needs an NCCCO-certified crane operator for a 5-week project at a grain and agricultural processing plant in West-Central MO. The work is removing equipment and building platforms, running a 90-ton Grove rough terrain crane on days (there is also a 60T RT onsite that may be used as well). The first four weeks run 6 days a week at 10-hour shifts; the final week is a plant shutdown at 7 days a week, 12-hour shifts. This is a hours-heavy run for an operator who wants to put in a strong five weeks and move on clean.

  • $40.00/hour
  • $110.00 x 7 days
  • Mobilization (in and out): $0.50/mile, paid on successful completion of the assignment
  • 5 weeks. Weeks 1 to 4: 6 days/week, 10-hour shifts. Week 5 (shutdown): 7 days/week, 12-hour shifts. Days.
  • Start date: 10.12.2026

  • Run a 90-ton Grove rough terrain crane safely and inside the load chart
  • Set up for each pick: configuration, counterweight, outrigger position, radius
  • Remove existing equipment and set up for platform construction
  • Build and support platform work with crane picks as directed
  • Carry the crane through a plant shutdown in week 5 at 7 days/week, 12-hour shifts
  • Perform and document daily crane inspections
  • Coordinate lifts with the site superintendent and the rigging crew
  • Commit to the full 5-week run, including the shutdown week

Skills and Experience

  • NCCCO (CCO) certification with TLL endorsement (Telescopic Boom Crane, Swing Cab, Large), current and unexpired
  • Strongly Preferred: previous rough terrain (RT) crane experience, hands-on seat time on an RT machine
  • Experience operating a 90-ton class crane or comparable rough terrain / all-terrain machine
  • Able to pass and complete a site-specific orientation on arrival
  • Available to start Monday 10.12.2026 and commit to the full 5-week run, including the week-5 shutdown
